Im a newbee to this site and have really enjoyed reading peoples thoughts and experiences during my recent decision making process to sell on my 111R and order a new Exige S P. I kept my 111R on my drive under a waterproof/breathable car cover a lot of the time, no real probs with this, except I was always worried that in high winds (I live on a hill), the cover would rub the paintwork... it did,but only I noticed! Does anyone have any advice/experience on looking after a cherished Lotus outside? (I do have a single garage, but that is occupied by another story altogether!).

Yep, don't worry about it, some arse in a car park will only open a door it to it one day anyway, and that's going to be worse than slightly rubbed paintwork.

A bit of TLC from a good detailer (shine-on on Seloc gets lots of recommendations) should sort the problems.
My S1 lives outside and I tend to only use the cover in the summer to cut down on the dust collection. In the winter I don't really bother (I use a shower cape to keep the interior dry though)- living in the sticks I've only got to drive to the end of the lane I live on for it to need another wash!
