my coolant normally sits just below min from cold but last time I checked it was over an inch below. I've searched around and well the advice seemed a bit inconclusive and given that I had engine rebuilt about 1500 miles ago I'm a little paranoid.

02 111s with prrt, temp is constant and no signs of mayo that I can see

I ran the engine up to temp and the level had risen to the max marker, though I don't think this really indicates anything

I did notice a whitish deposit on a bonet vent when I cleaned it at the w/end so could be a possible rad/hose leak?

the car has also recently (although not often) starting hunting for the idle revvs which I hear could be the IACV or TPS, I read that a faulty TPS can cause excessive pressure in the system so I guess the hose could have loosened.

Its going in for a b service in a couple of weeks so I'll have it pressure tested then but want to know if theres anything I can check before hand

cheers

I don't think a faulty TPS could be to blame although you may have two independent problems by the sound of things. The coolant thing: I had similar on my S1 and it turned out to be a faulty expansion rank cap. Picked up a new one for a couple of quid and the level hasn't moved since.
