I have no idea how anyone can race at those speeds, that close to each other. I would have pussied out by the first bend.

IIRC the driver was one of the instructors at the race school at Bathurst so really did know each milimetre of the track. Got to have helped but its still mightily impressive nonetheless.

I think I read somewhere before that despite this storming opening lap he ended up finishing 14th or something. Still a nice video clip for him to have.

Old but awesome clip. I heard it was the second race of two and was a reverse grid, hence his ability to move through so quickly. Still awesome though!
