Anyone have any advice please on getting a heated windscreen fitted to my S1 111s?

I am aware eliseparts do one but they dont fit in my area. am looking for the whole job, electrics etc.

Drive my car all through the winter and cant find a heater or anti-mist solution that works!!

Have you tried using fog-x on the inside of the screen at all?

Friend of mine uses it on his Ultima and it works a treat smile

As you've discovered the heater on the S1 is pretty useless at demisting the screen. I've not tried Fog-ex (but I have used Rain-ex on the outside and it's good) so that might well be worth a try. Otherwise, windows open or roof off really!! Sorry not to be more constructive.

You can sort the S1 roof so that it doesnt leak ! and thus mist up. Although sometimes mist will happen anyway, just keep a towel in the car.

Scare Cos that you are rejecting the car as it has obvious damp problems.

It could be that they were over zealous cleaning the mats with an Aqua Vax or something and the moisture has never escaped.

I wouldn't worry too much about it now. It is nearly spring. It will become less of an issue and a few hot sunny days and the top off may dry out some residual dampness.

Enjoy the car now, reassess in the Autumn.. you may find the £350+ on a heated windscreen may be better spent elsewhere after you've had a few good blats !

can't you get somebody local to fit it for you?

I usually get hit ~£50 to have a screen fitted when I have supplied the glass...
