Cyber-friends,
What advice do you all have on Exhaust system for my S1 111S?
If it needs replacing what should I replace it with?
Top Tips appreciated!

Larini seems to be the weapon of choice around here.

The club sport is £296 and I want one!

Previous owner had one of these

http://www.eliseparts.com/shop/index.php?main_page...

and one of these fitted, car sounds incredible on full throttle, like a thundering V8

ETA: Sorry I misread your post, exhaust is for and S2 sorry. But definitely get the induction kit.

Larini Club Sport back box.
Got one last September and can tell you the difference in sound is awesome.

I'm currently saving for the rest of the system as I've been that impressed.

First link is for an S2 box...
Second is a must. I also have a Hurricane combined with the Larini Club Sport... AWESOME!

Club Sport Back Box = £325 delivered (approx)
Hurricane = £165 delivered (approx)

Fitting is reasonably easy for the Hurricane so I'd recommend having a go yourself - it's what I did and it only took about an hour and a half. Somewhere there is a very good web page detailing the installation of a K&N 57i kit which is brilliant for helping with the hurricane.

The same can be said for the back box but I had this done by my local specialist.

I think I payed about £40 for the back box to be fitted I would have thought it would be about the same for the Hurricane too.

If you want to go on track, bear in mind ever tighter noise limits.

I was contemplating the Larini and also the ITG induction.

My local specialist reckons that the Larini doesn't fit properly?

Is this true??

I'm also worried about the noise police at track days... Don't want to fork out lots of $$$$ and then not be able to play on the track

Cheers,

Andy

When the previous owner bought the Clubsport for my car it was part of a bad batch and wouldn't fit. It had to be sent back to be replaced and now fits perfectly. As far as I know, this was a short term problem and has been fully rectified now.

Were I buying an S1 Exhaust I would consider:
- Janspeed
- Bell & Colvill
- Eliseparts
- Tubular
- Larini

To fit an exhaust ~1hr labour, about the same for a huzza.

Larini Club Sport back box on my S2. Amazing sound, absolute censored to fit. Should come with a health warning though, driving hard with the roof off doesn't half wreck your hearing...

With regard to the fit on Larini's. They do fit properly, BUT because each bit is adjustable they take time and patience. I've had mine on and off three times recently and have "got the knack" now.

Just fitted the eliseparts sports exhaust and I would not fit any other now. Its a work of art and makes the car sounds fantastic. pricey at £400 but the best on the market I rekon. I went for a 5 inch diameter one which is louder than the 6 inch but not silly. wont pass track days but I can stick the standard box on for that.
