hi everyone,
im getting tempted to sell the subaru (dont shoot me yet) for either 111r or exige either s1 or s2.....used to own an s1 elise few years back n loved it to death...and im getting the urge to get back into a lotus and get a smaller golf bag....
wots best 111r or the exige???

I've had both.
It depends on what you expect from the car. 111r is nice as a tourer as it's convertable and suspension is more sympathetic to the public roads etc. Downsides are power (compared to Exige S) and the way that power is delivered (unless you have the aftermarket re-map). It is very peaky with very little tourque low down the rev range. A supercharged Exige has more bhp and far more linear power delivery. Handling is improved, more mechanical grip from tyres and footprint + improved aerodynamics. Suspension is not as sympathetic to public roads.
Personally I'm far more impressed with the Exige (supercharged + performance pack) than I was with the 111R but I do miss the soft top and the easier boot access.
I'd also say the Exige is a far more impressive looking car - at least that is my opinion.

Get the Europa. Better comfort than Exige or Elise. Performance not for off an Exige and if played with can be just as quick.
In the flesh they look great without looking like a race car on the road. In my opinion the Exige is just too OTT for everyday road use and everyone has an Elise.

ha ha...i like that.....i agree the exige is a better looking beast, altho i still prefer the exige s1 looks.maybe its my age.and the leaking in my old s1 elise got on my nerves even worse with the hardtop, now how does that happen.....i think i need a test drive in an exige to get the power....im struggling to know the quickness from being in a tweaked sti to a 190 bhp exige....i know ones the weight of a tin can and mines weighs like a fat bird, but it will be intersesting to see.......thanks for the advise....
