Over the last six years I have owned more cars than I care to remember. From Landrover 110 to TVRs. Some I made a little profit some I've lost a lot.
However, in this time I have had 3 x Lotus Elise. There has got to be a good reason that I keep coming back to em. Bloody Fantastic Fun.

I currently have a 111s and done 600 miles in it in the last 7 days. Not as comfortable as my new Civic but hey that don't make me smile.

Roll on Summer so I can put the Hard top away for a while......

You sound like me.

I have had 3 x 57 plate cars in the past 12 months alone cos i cant make my mind up. I seem to keep going back to Lotus as well and wouldnt be too surprised if a foxy little 08 number arrives in the near future.

The Priory Clinic needs to run a treatment programme for people once they sell their Lotus to help stop them cold turkeying for another one !!

Gets under your skin the Elise, doesn't it? Mine has worked its way into my affections in a way only one other car ever has (an Alfasud I bought in 1981!). Apart from the Sud every other car I've had has been just that, a car. The Elise gets washed, polished and waxed. She's had a new interior. I've spent a few bob on new suspension. I choose her tyres carefully. She gets the finest oil. A change of brake pads brings on a bout of hand wringing and research. When a mishap led to some repairs she received only the very best private treatment and came out better than before complete with nice new wheels and a close ratio gearbox. I've even treated her to some nice harnesses so we can feel even more together.
I could go on and on and on and ..................
Just love it thumbup

Well the sun is out this am. The nights are longer. The hardtop is going away today. The Elise is going to remind me what I really bought her for.
