Elise S2 door seals

My girlfriend has just bought a 2002 Elise which leaks slightly according to the seller. I'm sure I've seen a different door seal (maybe on a newer car) with a sort of 'cup' at the top of the screen. Is this right? Is it worth changing?

Yep there are a later style available, mine were changed when i bot the car by the dealer as part of the deal. I never had any probs with leaks.

dont think it can be too big a job, its a rubber strip and some glue!!

eta keep a towel in the car though just in case and i assume early ie pre air con so towel handy for demist aswell.
