Time for a moan
Every day for the last 5 months I come to this forum hoping to see a picture of the car I hope will replace my 350z. Every day I am disappointed and I get a step closer to buying a boxster s or Z4MC. This disappointment is made worse by the fact that half (ok so I am exagerating!) of this forum has seen it at the factory or has some sort of preview!!!
Guys, stop me from wasting my money on something German and leak some info!! Lotus are just to good at keeping a secret.

Pretty sure half the people claiming to have seen it actually haven't
The production line is even shielded off so they don't even let their factory workers see what is going on... what does that tell you
Then again, they obviously don't let the production line workers see the seat runners as they fit them either...

You will see it at the London motor showEvery day for the last 5 months I come to this forum hoping to see a picture of the car I hope will replace my 350z. No one outside of Lotus has seen the car except from a few photographer's and selected people.
I have and it's out of this world, can't wait for everyone's opinion's!

That they haven't finished the production line?

I am just sick of waiting.
It is a fine line between teasing to maintain interest and just play hard to get. I think Lotus have got it wrong but I guess the engineering types at lotus don't get to see many women so they really know how to play that game!
Maybe the S2 Elise introduction debacle made everyone ultra cautious but I I don't think they will divert sales from the Europa or Elise SC if they showed a few pics now.

Are you buying brand new? Bear in mind if the car's any good there's bound to be a waiting list so it may be at least a year before you get your hands on one. Why not buy a S/H Boxster/Z4, then get a year old Eagle in a couple of years' time when values have settled? Plus if it doesn't turn out to be all that (really hope this doesn't happen!), at least you haven't held out for nothing.

I strongly suggest if you are that interested sticking a grand returnable deposit down and then you'll be one of the 1st in the queue. Don't go and buy anything else at the moment I just think you will love this and you will not want to wait. For gods sake don't buy a Cockster or a Zimmer

I don't understand the secrecy.
If you are planning a new model, stick out a full size model as soon as possible to gage public reaction. If they hate it you still have time to make alteration before launch.
I vaguely recall that TVR did this when there models were at their most popular.

At the end of the day it's their neck on the line and their decision, I'm sure everyone will love it

Apols if official pricing is already public knowledge but I've not seen it even if it is.
I wouldn't be so bothered if it was a new Elise or Esprit as I would have feel for the layout and many of the styling cues. No one here will be surprised if the new Esprit looks a bit Lambo and a bit modern lotus.
However the new Eagle has not history, no evolution. It could be very different to anything before and that both worries and excites me.
I hope it gets below 227g/km co2 then I wont get shafted if I buy one or tax one or park one or drive one.

AFAIK the Esprit is being developed along side the Eagle in terms of the chassis and such like. However the new Eagle has not history, no evolution. It could be very different to anything before and that both worries and excites me.

I think both cars will be closely related in the same way the Elise and Exige are.
Eagle will be quite soft and luxurious (in Lotus terms!) where the Esprit will be very track focused and more hard core.
