Just had my S1 remapped at Emerald - had tried fiddling with it myself, but as it turned out the new map is totally different to my last one.

My changes in between maps were -

52mm throttle body
4 into 1 exhaust
ITG induction

I am actually down .3 BHP, but I have had a massive increase in Torque from approx 3K revs to 4.5K revs - just what the Doctor ordered.I had filled up with 97 RON instead of 98 which I had for the last map.

Interesingly, the speedo was only 1MPH out at 70 on the rolling road!

If you need a mappable ECU, I cannot imagine there is anyone more competent - I took the long way home over 5.5 hours!!

I noticed how accurate the speedo is when I got a TomTom. Its only 3 mph out at 100 mph.

Good to hear the remap went well. The biggest differences I noticed when I got my westfield done were fuel consumption and throttle response.

I had my Elise there being mapped on Tuesday.
It made decent power but I was after good mapping with a good power and torque curve which Dave seemed to get.

It took me 6 hours to get home but I was trailering as I am waiting for a screen before I can get an MOT.

Looking forward to trying it out.

He said he had just done 3 Elises, all with a larger throttle body - He thinks that the mod only assists response, doesn't improve power too much, but the remap has really made my car run like a dream.

Hope that the screen gets sorted pronto - Spring is coming along nicely!

I took along a 52mm body to fit in the morning while Dave was sorting out his emails.
I think he wanted to do a run with the old 48mm body first just to show me how little difference it would make, but I told him to not bother because I was going to fit it anyway seeing as I had bought it.

Hey guys, if you don't mind he asking how much was the remap and can this only be done on an Emerald or can the standard ecu from a 111s be done (sorry if this is a dumb questions)

Cheers

you will need a progamable ecu-not sure how much that is, but the rolling road session is 275 plus Gestapo tax.

ps check out the Emerald website, it will give you good idea of what the progammable ecu will do!
