Hope all you guys are ok - if you even attempted to make it to Goodwood. I'm not known for my good judgement where cars are involved, but even I thought:

TVR + snow + missnotax (new to TVR and oversteer)+ 3rd party insurance = yikesyikes

Was at least 3 inches of snow in Fareham!!! Really hope you all get home with yourselves and your cars looking how they did when you left...

Discretion and all that!!

I picked up my new car yesterday and was going to head down this morning but looked out the window and went back to bed! Must have been 3 inches or so here, Reading, but its beginning to melt away now.

Hope it was fun for those who did brave it!!

Not good at all (pun intended).

Most of our group got stranded on route (a very scenic route I admit) and needed towing up the hill by friendly land rover drivers.

2 of us just managed to crawl into civilisation, I bailed out at this point and went home.

Glad to hear that at least two of you got back ok. Have a look at the photos under Goodwood events - looks and sounds bloody hairy... Hope weather improves by next weekend when Missnotax should collect her car...

I have a picture of a ruler next to my Elise saying 6 inches of snow from 7am Sunday morning! (I live just South of Reading). I was all set to come down to Goodwood with a friend, but I live in the middle of miles or twisty untreated roads and we decided to give it a miss! He also had to negotiate them in his 964 C2 to get to my house... biggrin

Shame; I spent about 3 hours cleaning the car on Saturday morning!

I spun on the A3 at 60mph in the snow about 5 miles from the M25 junction but amazingly managed not to hit anything! We carried on for another 10 miles or so but the road was blocked so we turned back and went for breakfast at Starbucks instead!

Yeah, I was very lucky. It was the closest I've come to having a big shunt in 9 years of driving.
