Hello fellow PHers

Whilst it seems common place amongst the more suicidal form of transport, the motorcycle, the more I see this current trend, which I believe is called 'hooping', the more I feel it would set off the sullen hue of my daily whips rims.

Ladies and Gents, through the wonders of modern technology (and not so good photo-shopping) I present you with the evidence upon which you are to comment please.

'I think it needs more colour' he once proclaimed! spermspermsperm

So people, do I run the risk of 'avin' this done, and finally be proud of my chavtastic tendencies?.................................................................................. Or shall I save ruining a beautifully crafted machine by placing it in a fully secured, dehumidified container, far away from me and my paint brush and be satisfied with my well thumbed, and to be honest, rather sticky collection of early 90's max power magazinespaperbag?

many thanks

Rpm

If you like it do it, I personally think it looks well but may be a little awkward to do on your rims due to the fine edge (unless you paint).

do it! it defines the wheel from the tyre and stops it looking like a black disc

Doesn't look too bad but it's hard to say until it's actually done. Why don't you do it with vinyl pinstripe tape rather than paint? Then you can take it off if you don't like it or get bored of it.

Why don't you go all the way and have green wheels

I have thought of this, but I'm not sure if I can get the right colour in a paint that would be suitable for the use. Also having had previous cars with painted calipers, I find after a few pad changes/general servicing the paint can sometimes get chipped.

also i would venture a 'nay' to the painted calipers idea - only looks good on really big calipers (this is why when i painted my s2000 calipers i painted them black)

It breaks up the big section of black a bit and in slightly dull lighting like in those photos could look quite nice.

Not 100% sure though, brake calipers painted sounds like a better idea.

I think it looks fantastic, but brake dust may make it look rubbish - will be a pita to keep looking good I fear, but try it biggrin

Looks better with than without - will be a bugger to keep clean though

It suits the 'tone' of the car - I think go for it.
