Hi chaps,

I have just bought and picked up my very first Lotus, A 135R and it is far better than I ever thought it would be, I will no doubt be asking plenty of questions over the next few months so please be kind.

Sorry about it being a bit dirty. It's clean now.

Welcome. The 135 is regarded by many as one of the best varients of the Elise.
I don't know where Yee Haa gets his 'best handling' bit from though: You can alter the handling characteristics of any Elise with a change of suspension geometry.

incidentally the factory settings were waaay out on mine. The ride height was actually greater at the front would you believe it. You would think factory fitted lss would come better set up.

Cheers guys, I can't get the smile off my face at the moment.

And as a bonus my golf clubs fit in the passenger side.

OK first question.

The wheel nuts and brake disks are (a bit) rusty and the caliper's are a little discoloured, can the calipres be treated or painted? and what can be done about the nuts.

The car has only done 11k miles (53 plate) so it has obviously been sat in garages for a while.

Thanks

Disks go rusty when parked up and the handbrake is on.
Prevention: just have it in gear parked up
Soution: go for a blat, brake (in a straight line) and all shiny
