I'll be at Donington on Monday - anyone else going...?

I've not been there before - any tips ?? Is it obvious where to sign in etc ?

Car has been standing since the new year (I live outside the UK) should I be expecting flat spots on the tires (A048s)...if so do they go when warmed up ?? I left them at 22/24 cold.

Also, planning on changing the pads myself this weekend before the day out - any tips appreciated....

Thanks

Hello. Tyres will probably be flatted a bit now if you left them cold at such low temps. You might get lucky and they'll be OK though. Take care in the first few sessions and watch the pressures. Have you checked all the cars fluids etc and made sure the battery is upto it?

Re: Pads. Check out the SELOC wiki for info http://elise-faq.info/index.php?title=Pad_change

Thanks S Works

Just got back to a pc after the day at Donington (great track). Excellent day out.....several Loti there.....one honda'd elise spitting flames out the back - nice. Also a nice bloke in a silver exige who identified the plastic vent hanging from my car after a trip into the kitty litter.....can still hear the gravel rolling around !

No trouble with flat spots on the A048s - good to know you can let em stand for 3 + months with no trouble - they get back to normal in the first few miles.

Brake pad change was a piece of piss......even for an office nerd like me - one thing - the fluid was very dark - almost black - can that be right (guess it depends upon brand..?).

RS14's - they squeal a bit but are way better on the track than the standard - guess you all know this though.....
