All,

Just can't contain myself anymore! I'm up at Hethel from tomorrow doing the intensive driver training on Saturday

Already done Lotus driver training a few activity days and numerous 1 to 1 training so before I start to venture down the road of track days then hopefully to participate in the Trophy my wife brought me this for my joint Birthday and Christmas present

Excellent present thumbup What is the cheaper driver training experience like? Worth the cash? Anything that exceeds a Walshy day?

Having done both I'd say with no disrespect to Andy Lotus is better, you can really push their cars without worrying if it all goes wrong, it's there car not yours so you don't need to worry about tyres, brakes scratches etc etc etc. It's their petrol, their Car

Also you get the chance of driving up at Lotus which if your an enthusiast mean's a lot, it's not cheap but then if you add both up properly theirs not much in it

Did the Lotus intensive 1 day course with Alistair McQueen - excellent instructor. A little pricey but the skills you develop and the track driving on the Hethel circuit was well worth it smile

I did a two day course at Hethel - first day was the factory tour and second was driver training. Awesome fun and good opportunity to drive both S and R versions - discovered that while the R is an amazing track weapon, the S is no slouch, and only loses out on the long straight

£800 odd quid.

Sounds like a great time - how does it compare to the MSV experience days which cost similar for lapping in Clio Cups, Caterhams, XK's, JP1's and 911's?
