Had several issues with the ignition system on my car since I bought it 6 months ago. Mostly niggles but one breakdown as well. Anyway, I've gradually been going through everything with a fine tooth comb to see if I can erradicate my problems for good and I think I'm almost there.

Yesterday, I was getting a few misfires going through the revs below 4000 rpm and also the occasional drop of revs when its idling. So on my way home I called in at Wickes and bought some bath sealent strip (they sell some black 5mm stuff that is absolutely tailor made for this job) to seal the spark plug cover's trailing edge and I called in at Halfords and bought damp start/seal spray and some new spark plugs. I then whipped everything apart, sprayed everything in sight, cleaned battery terminals and earts and replaced plugs (No. 1 cylinder plug looked very brown, I'll put that down to water ingress to spark plug well) etc... The car was running great, pulling hard and clean all through the revs and with a rock steady idle.

However this morning I've noticed another problem, on tight left hand corners the car will not pick up cleanly when I get back on the throttle, so I'm starting to wonder if I could have some sort of fuel supply issue a or dodgy wire connection somewhere. Anybody experienced similar?

One other quickie, what should a 111s idle at? I could have sworn that my idle always used to be 1100 when cold and 900 when warm but it seems to be sitting at 1100 now regardless. Possibly dodgy ECU coolant temp sender?

If its of any use the car has no MIL kit and is decatted. Oh and I should also say that the breakdown was caused by failing ignition leads so these are now all brand new.
