Hello,

Finally after years (I mean years!) of waiting I have now started to seriously look at Exiges.

So the S1 is out (I think?) even though they are holding their value better, and probably will, the S2 is for me. So next which variant. I love Aspen White which means the 220S, but then again for the same money I could get a 240 Cup. What would the differences be besides 20 extra horses.

I'll probably only do 2 tracks a year and won't use it everyday.

Also when will the S3 come out wink

Thoughts?

240 Cup by a large margin! I own an Exige S but I'd rather have a Cup

No S3 till after 2010 at least

Thanks Boggy, anychance that you could elaborate as to why you think the Cup is the better option.

Also presumably resale will be stronger on the Cup car even though Lotus have a million and one variants.

Oh also it appears that I have been looking at the 240R...how does that differ?

Thanks.

If you're not going to use it on track, then the Elise SC would be a sensible option to try out too.

Given that you can't see anything out the back of an Exige, the suspension is much worse on road, and the fact that tyre options are much more limited on the Exige 195/50/16 rims, I'd have that on my test drive list too.

Cheers SWorks, tbh it the Exige I've always been after, what can I say. I'm blinkered in love with it.

Well said Tim agree 100%

Reason's for the Cup are as follows:

1. They 240 Cup has been around for a while now so the values remain fairly strong around 30k Exige S can be brought (06 - 56 Car's) for around 28 - 30k already

2. Cup's have better suspension brakes set - up and are an all round better track based Car

3. Cups are made in limited number's so that's also another reason for

4. Cup's are finished by Lotus Motorsport and don't come rolling off the production line so it's a one off so to speak

Go and see a few and see what you think, as S Works says thou if it's a road Car your after forget the Exige and buy the SC Elise, I think it's the best all round sports Car on sale today.

Driven a couple now and if I hadn't already brought my Exige I'd have one
