I've had my new TT coupe for nearly two weeks, and even today popped back to the Audi dealership and happened to see my Elise still there in their car park (06 111R, laser blue, stunning).

I have no regrets.

My Elise was only a few months old when I bought it but had a few teething problems...

Anyway, at the risk of serious abuse (do please try to resist) I think the new TT is spectacular. Gorgeous design, fantastic performance (right through the rev-range), throaty sound, sublime design and build quality, wonderful residuals...

I always wanted a Lotus. I had enjoyed TVRs in the past, so wasn't totally naive about the experience.

But I'm happier now. My loss? Maybe.

Enjoy the summer, and enjoy your wonderful machines.

If you're happier, that's great.

Not everyone is suited to Lotus ownership. Particularly as a daily driver.

Got to be honest the new 272bhp TTS that's out soon does look pretty smart (with the performance to go with it). Almost tempted, I just know I'd miss the Lotus - especially with the weather at the mo!

If i had bought the Coupe instead of the Roadster i may have kept it longer. Doubt it mind....
Even now when i see the Roadsters i dont like them, Christ knows why i bought one. Each to their own though and i am sure if he is more patient than me then he will enjoy the car.

Fair play marky. Not everyone can get along with the Elise or the whole Lotus thing. Enjoy the TTthumbup

Janitor did the same and loves his, I hear a TTS is coming too - I'd be up for driving one, but I doubt very much I'd like it enough to buy one. Nice enough cars, I just prefer my sports cars to be driven by the rear wheels. For less money, a fully-loaded 350Z is more my cuppa for a car with a few more creature comforts than the Elise.

I know everyone says the new TT is much better than the old one.
I had the misfortune of owning one of the old ones though, and it was so **** that I don't think I could ever contemplate another one (unless I take up hairdressing of course).

I felt like that a few years ago, went from S2 (Lazer blue 120 hp) to TT225.

Wouldnt repeat history again though.;)
