Best summer parked car cover?

Elise S2 111s, short roof - everyday car.
Now that summer is here i like to have the roof off. Now the Elise roof is not that easy/quick to get on and off (have already broken rear cable) and I'm looking for a quick, sensible cover that I can use during the day while my motor is in works car-park (safe-ish but out of my sight), when popping into town etc. Cover needs to be on and off in a matter of seconds and be showerproof. I know that this might be an 'insurance risk' but is the bets option a rain hood? in which case which one is good.
p.s. I used to leave top off TVR overnight (secure parking) but found that sometimes there was a suspicious cat-smell inside the following day!!
