its 718kg dry weight ...so more like 780kg wet...then you would need to get it into road trim.

But im sure the aero package works on it and 400bhp is not to be sniffed at so it would be one of the wuickest Exiges/Elises around.

The top spec LoT group C cars are down near 700Kg and will be running 330bhp ish so not too far out on power to weight etc and a damn site cheaper - I guess this one is just silly money as it was Lotus built ...maybe at £100K they may get someone interested, but £300K + for an Exige??!!

you do get the custom moulds though so you can make your own clams....or make kits to sell ..that may be worth a few bob to someonewink

Great car to look at too, truly awesome. The clams were done by RTN who engineered and built the Bentley EXP Speed 8 Le Mans winning race car... They used a newly developed 'quick make' carbon process on it I believe..

Lovely car!

bigger problem is that is very much a one-off....

It's not elegable for any major champoinship/serise, if you break anything (and remeber this is a race car) spares are not exactly on the shelf.

Very nice to say you own it, but what exactly are you going to do with it?

Therein lies the rub with buying a previously sucessful racecar.

If you're rolling around on a track day in a compromised road car, its easy not to get noticed for driving like a numpty.

If you turn up in one of them puppies, its probably best you can drive it like Chris can, otherwise it could be a little embarassing.
