Hi all, you are my first port of call before anyone I value your knowledge that much!
Got in my 54 plate 111r this morning and to my horror, it wouldnt start. It tries to start so Im guessing its not the battery but other then that, its a sitting duck down my street and im worried!
I drove it on Friday no bother and not at all Sat or Sun, its been a fairly mild weekend so I cant see how it would be cold/damp related.
Obviously, there are many things it could be and without being able to look at it, your advise and ability to help is limited but I was just wondering if there is anything obvious (or a known issue) that requires a quick fix on these cars that someone knows about?
Im afraid whilst I love driving it im not the most knowledgable on what to do when things go wrong!
Thanks

Happened to me the other day. Took 10 litres to get enough in the tank and get the damn thing started furious

Thanks Guys, you may be spot on here cos I know it was on about half of its last bar (as far as petrol goes) and it is parked on a road with a steep camber.

With that in mind Im hopeful thats all it is so Im off out shortly to buy a fuel cannister and fill it up.

Will let you know if this works or not!

Cheers

As soon as the last block starts you should refill really to prevent this happening. The fuel tank doesn't have many baffles so if you park on a slight incline or whatever then the fuel moves away from the pump !
