Well with mini-me only 5 weeks away, its time that my dream car goes (2 doors and all that).

Its been a great car to own, drive, and wax... and take piccies of (see http://flickr.com/photos/mahju/sets/72157605128230... )

I wanted one for years, being an aerospace engineering student I saw the S1 chassis at a car show in Oz and loved it... needless to say putting it up for sale isn't easy, especially with the weather over the weekend.

Finally thanks to all of your advice over the past 2 years, including all the noobie questions when I was looking to buy, through to the advising me about how long a pregnant wife and px in an elise (FYI its 8 months and counting...)

Soo its off to the land of sensible cars with higher mpg... but I will be back one day, but not for many years.

Thanks angain all,

Cheers,
-Matt

Mate you don't need to sell it due to junior, can't u get a sensible 4 door car such as a Focus etc.....

Trust me keep it if you can, they are great for times when ikkle and mummy are asleep and you feel like getting away for a quick blast for "me time"... We have a 4 month old, I am gonna try and keep el'beasto as long as I can.....

Hmm I'll have my eye on a cheap S1 in a couple of years as a 2nd car maybe... love these cars.

I wish it were true. A couple of things to it really for me. I live in central london (WC1), so there's no lanes just around the corner, and its more like 45 mins to a coutnry lane and 45 back. The car's been great as a weekend away car. It pretty workable as a commuter, but its easier for me to take the train, and faster by about 15mins most of the time.

I'll have an Elise again when I move to the country, or back to Oz.

Thanks again all biggrin

Great news that an Elise and the kids are working for you guys, wish it could for me!

I remember about a year before I got my lotus I saw an elise with a kid seat in the front... looked like a very cool place for a young kid to ride.
