I think you'll have to try one. One of my mates (6'5") just cannot get his legs under the steering column of my S1.

I am 6' 4" and I fit. People do ask how though! I weigh 14 stone/90 kgs.

Give it a try. One point though, don't hold on to the windscreen surround when you get out!

should be possible - I've had a 6'6" 17 stoner drive mine. If you want to, you can :-)

Try one for size, but when you do bear in mind that you can switch to a Momo wheel and put a spacer in if necessary. I'm only 5'10", but in a standard Elise my knees and the bottom of the steering wheel are fighting for the same space. What I've done is extend the wheel towards me so that my knees are behind the steering wheel. If you try one for size, bear that option for adjustability in mind.

I hope you fit smile

Most aftermarket wheels will be the standard six holed Momo style, so compatible with spacers. Kambites on this forum says that he used his standard Lotus wheel with a spacer. I've had problems in the past with removeable wheels having a slight wobble on them, which drives me loopy. That's worth considering. If you're quite tall then I don't think entry and exit to the car will be much of an issue with the seat all the way back, although I've never sat in a 340R to know. I suppose there's the additional security element to a removeable wheel because it's an open car.

one of my mates is 6, 4 and about 17 stone, maybe more. He can get into my S1 even with the roof on !!!!! Dont know how he does it. It is very cramped inside though and I dont think he would be able to drive it as he would hit the steering wheel with his legs.

I also have to stiffen the shocks a couple of extra clicks when he gets in the car lol...

Yeah I have a 30mm spacer behind my standard wheel. Had to modify it a bit and buy some longer bolts but the whole setup only ended up costing me about 30 quid or something.

FYI, this is the spacer: http://www.elise-shop.com/index.php?main_page=prod...

ETA: Just to clarify, it was the spacer I had to modify, not the wheel.

Christ! If you both got in you'd be adding 230Kg's to the weight of the car!
