the Rover K VHPD engine thats in there *should* be good for 30K road miles at least, so no rebuild just yet...depending on what its had done, there are various options available though to make it run better/smoother/more power etc....a driveability kit is quite popular, basically vernier pullys, Emerald ECU and remap - should see near 190-200bhp...but more importantly a smoother delivery of power

Sheep!

I wouldnt buy one just for looks, if you do that you will end up hating it for its "shortfalls" in other areas. S2 is safer bet in that respect.

You can have mine for £19995 biggrin.

The s1 exige is an amazing looking car but i have to agree with what the other chaps have said above, the s2 is a lot more refined and the k series can cost a lot with rebuilds every 30k miles. Depends how deep your pockets are lol as the s1 will cost you if you want to start modifying significantly

I did buy one lol, although the s2 in my opinion is cheaper to run i prefered the look of the s1 exige and then i gave it the power it deserved via sinclaire's... biggrin

I also found my S2 Exige cheaper to run than the S1 Exige, but that was massively offset by the depreciation of the S2 vs the S1 which has stopped (and seems to have gone up since I bought it).

Get an Exige I had a S1 for a few years then sold it for a S2 Honda Elise looking back now the Exige was a better experience it broke down more, cost a load more money to run but it felt special, something the S2 experience never delivered.

That brooke kensington exige was bloody well priced, cheaper than a private sale and with one of the best garages backing it up.

I bought it from a gent up north. but it could well have been the same car as only 5 red ones were made. Its also chassis 601 so its the last one manufactured.
