How much is my S2 190 Motorsport worth ??
Discussion
Hi all,
Have an ice blue s2 elise 190 03 plate which i believe was one of 35 approx that lotus built - i bought about a year and half ago from Wilsons - have now moved with work to the US and have put the car in storage - its only got about 7K on the clock and unfortunately no track time!! not desperate to sell it though - but may only be back in the UK in another 2 years !!! seems a waste sitting in a storage ( however, in dehumidified and started once a month pay enough for it!!!) what do you reckon its worth if i sold now - alternatively i dont suppose i will lose too much more on it and may just keep it !!
thanks

IMO, you'd be lucky to see much more than £17k for it. Whilst they are 'rare' - rightly or wrongly - the majority of buyers will have the jitters about the VHPD ticking away in the back.
The target market for a Sport 190 would be someone who wants a powerful, sorted trackday car. Sorted Honda'd cars are now coming up for sale at the £20-25k mark, making the high-power K-series engined cars a bit of a gamble.
Ice Blue is also a colour which isn't especially popular, so that might limit it's appeal. If it's sorted though with decent suspension, brakes, exhaust etc. and the interior is nice with harnesses etc. you never know. It only takes one buyer!
Best of luck!

Agreed and considering you can buy an Exige S2 for 18k (one from a dealer in the classifieds at moment - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/518561.htm ) suggests the markets not too good for sellers at the moment.Gassing Station | Elise/Exige/Europa/340R | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
