How to contact people.........?

Morning all. Just a quickie to see if I'm missing something or I'm just a bit thick !

I'm interested in an ad in the Classified section. There seems to be a window that lets me email the seller, so I've done that. Haven't had a reply though, so am not sure if it's been sent. Having had another look, I see it doesn't give the sellers email address, so am I doing things right ? Also, as the items in question are quite quite a few quid, what's the procedure for sending goods and exchanging funds ?

Any help or advice appreciated, Chris.

If you get a reply and you want to buy, go and pick up. Do not just send a cheque, or pay with paypal.

Sad thing these days, you can't trust anyone!

It is normal you don't see their email address, as Pistonheads then automatically send the email to them.

If you send money, don't fully expect to see the goods.

You have been warned!

Correct; it's done so that you don't get spammed by every man and his dog.

Thanks for that fellas. Guess that rules me out of buying the items anyway - given whats been said, it would be a 500 mile round trip to collect the stuff -

There are some good honest people on here, however, there is no indicate which is which.

No otherway really than collect in person, especially if it is over £100. That is my opinion by the way.

I have missed out on a few sets of wheels with these problems of distant and trust.
