I just tried to take out a policy as mentioned on this site as sounds a good idea to be told they dont cover the Elise. Says you can only get one when buying from a dealer as part of a deal perhaps.

Can anyone point me in the right direction??

Sorry Matt, what is SELOC.

I thought it must be rubbish as heard so many people say they have it!

SELOC = South East Lotus Owners Club (but covers whole of UK and members everywhere from NZ/Aus to the US).

Its probably one of the best online resources about Lotus ownership.

I took an AA warranty out on an elise 6 weeks ago via their website.

It'll hopefully be paying out this week as my engine let go on monday.

It seems like one hell of a policy!

Don't get too carried away, it only covers £500 per incident AFAIK.

Hi JT,

No, it looks like the timing belt junped four teeth so hopefully that's all.

It also had some pretty knackered plug and coils!

Once the belt's changed and timings sst, we'll fire her up. Hopefully that'll be later today then we can do a pressure test to confirm HG is OK.

Have you got your timing/ecu sorted yet? I want to see how quick your's is once the cams are fettled. I raced against my mates westfield 1.8 zetec on sunday and beat it in my 118bhp 'standard' car! I reckon mine is hiding a dark secret somewhere, i can't believe it's so quick especially as it's been leaking from the coils for what looks like a while.

Catch up soon. I see you're on for the TOH battle at croft in August. Hopefully see you before then.

Not had cams sorted yet, no! Its on my list, along with a new set of tyres (after croft trackday last weekend), plus just done all discs and pads, plus track days coming up.

We should get out for a spin again soon on a sunday afternoon. Zebs mentioned it a few weeks back actually.

Yep, will be going to the Battle of Bulge so will see you there. Not sure whether to hold out getting my new tyres until then!

Yours was definately a quick little motor. We should see if we could get a few together and get a rolling road session booked, see what the cars are putting out!
