Well weight wise anyway.
I'm off down to Le Mans and need to pack a lot in. I thought I'd put the lightest things like the sleeping bag etc in the boot, but just how much weight is it safe to put in there? It all seems a little flimsy to me.
Oh, it's an S2 if that makes any difference

as much as you can fit in bin bags in all the nooks n crannies will be fine ...unless you are packing lead then you wont hurt it

My early S1 has a sticker stating a 50kg weight limit, not sure if that applies to S2's however.

Yeah mine says 50kg but I've been to Le Mans a few times now and always crammed it full of camping gear tents stove, clothes, sleeping bags, inflatable matress etc etc for two people and never had any problems.

Just make sure nothing heavyish is able to fly around when your hacking down the n138/d438!!!

Oh and enjoy Le Mans.... I cant wait!!!!

Thanks for the replies.
Had a "trial pack" tonight, got loads more in than I imagined.
It really is quite "large" when you stick your head in and have a look around.
Going down on Wednesday, third time for me, can't wait.

Yup, I always surprise people when I come back from Costco or Sainsburys, usual reply is, "Surely you didn't get all that in your boot?", as long as you buy things the right size, it's got loads of room, just have to know how to make the most of it.

the 50Kg's is not to do with load limits so much as headlight alignment.

put more than that in the back and the headlights are then going to be too high, and Lotus would have had to fit self-levelers to them to pass homologation.
