Phone No. for Russell is legit, same with the Email. As with all things Lotus, who knows what the crazy guys in motorsport are up to ? Even those that work at Hethel don't always know what's coming up.

Crazy?

Ramping up the boost on the engine, whacking a set of bigger brakes, adding some track-spec kit, losing some road-spec weight and charging £65k.

Not exactly crazy is it, or ground-breaking. Just an evolution of the Cup racing cars they offered.

and it still does not exsist! (current thinking is to use the 2-11 in GT4)

2 11 Is being used in GT already, I think it's in Belgium, I still think it's a great product heard about this some time ago when I was last up at Hethel

The 2-11 is indeed run by a Belgium team.. they were at Silverstone earlier this year running in the GT4 'lite' class..

Minging roll-cage.

How did they get on, and what's the competition?

I think the X-bow might be in the 2-11's class Tim.

Not sure how the Lotus got on though.

I went along to watch a m8 race in main feature event at Silverstone. It was great to see the little 211 in the GT4 class.

1st qually: http://www.automobilsport.com/fia-gt4-silverstone-...

From that you can see that they need to do a bit more work to make the car competitive at the front end whereas the XBow's were immediately showing a lot of promise and pace!!

I don't think the 211 even came out for 2nd qually and I don't recall seeing it in the actual race. Can't see them listed for the Monza round either.

I thought that would be obvious - the proof of it's worth is if it wins anything or not.

must say I do get frustrated with people like you...

Sorry if you find this insulting, it’s not meant to be, but please bear with me...

you come across like all the Lotus fan-boys, totally gullible and believe everything that is placed in front of you by a press-release or the like, without *any* supporting evidence etc.

Let's be very clear here, Lotus's track record in motorsport over the last few years is nothing short of embarrassing, starting with Autobytel, then the GT3, and now the will they or won’t they got with GT4 (and throw the 2-11 in for good measure).

The GT4 car on the FIA site does not exist, and will only exist if somebody goes to Lotus with a bag of money – much the same way the GT3 story ran.

Yet, as was the case with the GT3, you herald it like some iconic super car that’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Can you see what I am getting at? Can we please stick with some semblance of reality?
