Hi, I have read lots of info on Elises as I am looking to buy one in the near future I cannot get my head around the touring pack?
Does that include the rack on the rear for carrying bags etc?
Or is if just leather inside the door panels/seats,uprated knobs etc

I'm looking at 2002 models if it makes a difference in productions years

Cheers

on 02 cars it was really just a trim level..and yes its nice to have if the car is a daily driver...if its a track day toy then it dosent matter of coursewink

It's a day to day car, well 3 days tops due to works vehicle.
Can you fit the luggage carrier? to most elises?
Also will be looking for a solid roof to fit, Are you best taking to Lotus dealer to find out if it is long tail or short roof etc?

Thanks for your quick response

Touring Pack on early Elise S2's included leather seats, carpet mats, 4 speakers, drilled braks discs (I think). Certainly worth while.

You'll be able to find out quite easily if the car is a long tail or short tail - firstly by the soft top that's fitted to it. But if the roof not on, then the long tail has fixing points on the rear buttresses for the roof - the short tail does not.

there was no 'luggage carrier' on the Elise S2 - it was only on the S1, the clams on the S2 are too thin to support much weight
