Just been to Lotus Ribble Valley
Discussion
For a look round in the hope that i may be able to pick up a few bargains ie framed prints, diecast models or even an Exige S..........
Unfortunately there were none to be had but there is a sale coming up during the first week in July when they will be selling off parts etc. That may be worth a visit to some of you who horders who like keeping stuff in your garage.
In terms of Lotus cars they only had a Europa and an Exige S there. I did mischieviosly enquire about the Exige S but under the circumstances ie terminating the Lotus franchise they were not interested in my Sport Racer. They did say they would accept £30k for their Lazer Blue, 56 plate with £5k miles Exige S though if anyone is interested. Im not sure if this is still slightly overpriced though??
Also whilst i was there i had a good chat with the MD of the dealership. I found him to be very honest and we discussed why he had terminated the franchise. I emphasise the "he" because contrary to rumours on other sites it was they and not Lotus who terminated the franchise. In his opinion he thinks there will be other franchises that follow suit in the near future and of course we have seen NW do the same recently. I wonder what this means for the future of Lotus if anything at all??
Its a shame that there will now be even less choice from a dealership point of view for Lotus onwers in the north west.
