...bad news or something?

I like this car http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/402140.htm but has it been for sale for ages or something, the price seems cheap (for a reason maybe?).

Anyone have an opinion on it please?

i think its more like theres a limited market for that colour, when for the same price you can have an equivalent car in any colour combo you prefer...in fact "£5K off list" isnt anything special really ...its a buye=s market and you may be able to negotiate that on a new car to your own spec.

it needs to drop a few grand more yet i think before people will be really interested

its a buyers market now, so the dealers will be finding it tough...ive heard of people getting £6K off new Elise SC cars recently

How much truth is there in the 6k of SC cars!! Is it just one of those tales! I am just haggling at the moment and it would be a useful bargaining chip!!

Bouncing beween black and chrome orange at the moment!! (biggrin)

Be great to here from you, and hopefully many thanks (as if true will save me some cash).

a lot of truth - the people that have told me have no reason to lie, one got £4K off another £6K ish...both of optioned up cars rather than base ones, both out of stock as well.

The way to buy from dealers IMO is to go near the end of the sales quarter (when they have to meet targets)and choose a car from stock.

I have seen a couple advertised for £32K but i think they may be very low mileage ex demos.

Do you know the car, is there anything wrong with it, or had it just been a normal demo car? Are they usually thrashed?

Also, why do my posts show up in green, 'cos I'm new here?

I think everyones own posts show up gree.

I dont know the car as such but i do know that they tried very very hard to sell it to me a while back offerin g huge discounts and a very good price for mine. It wasnt the car i originally contacted them about and the colour put me off in the end although the deal was very tempting.

DL have had that particular car, from new, for about 15 / 16 months now. Worth a serious low-ball I would have thought.

So it was a showroom car, then they finally got round to registering it, I see why they want rid off it now. I had a look at a Krypton Exige in Leeds today, it's pretty bright TBH, not sure I could be seen in it.

Saw a Krypton Green Exige in Swindon when I picked up mine. The colour looks good with the black rims. Didn't look inside but if the seats or so have a bit of the green as well it would look great. Would think about if you can look at it every day though

Yep, might go back and have another look at the colour tomorrow.

Is the Exige quite claustrophobic inside, sitting in it today it's pretty small and the windows seem really "slitty"?

I think the word is "cosy", Elise/Exige are both the same in that regard - although the Exige may feel a bit more so due to hard top, although I didn't really find it any different.

I don't find it claustraphobic, but you do feel a bit 'vulnerable' at first with it being so low. Looking up at the passenger in the Fiesta parked next to you at the lights is a bit weird.

Yep cosy it could be said. Must also be some technique for getting in and out of it, I suppose everyone says that the first time.

Hmmm, decisions decisions.

Yup, you get used to it. I jump in and out of mine like it's no effort at all, unless we're talking about the passenger side, then I show myself up and look like a complete arse.

First time I ever sat in an Elise was in the Ferrari workshop in Swindon, getting back out I promptly caught my leg on the steering wheel and fell flat on the floor laugh
