Just noticed yesterday, when entering my Europa the sill edge nearest the seat looks like it is getting quite worn.

I guess Elise and Exige owners don't have this problem as their sills are not covered in hide.

Anyone else noticed this ?

Anyone got any thoughts on the longevity of the leather sills ?

Perhaps its my technique of entry/exit ??

Thanks
Rog

The Elise just has a cloth and leather scuff pad, and it does wear through but you can replace them. Not so sure about the Europa I'm afraid.

Could try and adjust how you get in and out to avoid it, but that's probably easier said than done.

my one is plastic, not leather covered and no signs of wear at all. Most of the time I do just seem to fall in the car without touching the sill!

try a different technique ! ...otherwise some clear film on there would protect them....failing that its re-trim time every couple of years - quite cheap really

I made the mistake of polishing mine with Mr Sheen once and nearly ended up through the passenger window when getting into the drivers side cos it was that slippy. I felt a bit like Uncle Knobhead from the Peter Kay stand up show.smile

My sills are in leather and Looking back it was a silly choice.

Heavily worn already, but i'm just going to get them recovered when they start to look tatty.
