Does anyone know where I can get hold of a full set of OZ wheels in black gloss to fit my Elise S2 type 25?What size should I be asking for,I'm not really sure and want to get this right.I saw a pic of a type 25 with OZ's fitted on the HANGAR 111 website and they look great.I expect I will stick on Yoko A048's to this set up,any thoughts? Thanks.

I think they look superb and toughen up the look of the elise quite a lot. Theres a couple of pics of them on my car in my profile. I have Toyo 888s fitted (and Nitrons) and overall very happy with the handling and grip levels. They far exceed my capabilities!

I just sold a set last week ! ...they are very rare as Lotus 'own' the rights to the moulds for the Elise sizes so OZ cannot produce any more without a large order from Lotus.

I cant remember how many sets overall were produced but you may just have to settle for any colout - silver etc and get them refurbished like new for £50 a wheel etc.

I had 2 sets - gold and black for my old car, now gone. ..gold were the most rare, only 6 sets made !!

You best bet is he classifieds on here or SELOC, occasionally ebay. They are not cheap though - originally £1600 from Lotus, the normal 2nd hand price used to be about £1K a set, I just let a set go for £800 as you can get the Team Dynamics replicas now which are like £600 new...still ...not the same as originalswink

st Bogie, had I known that I would have had that set off you. I want to put road tyres on a second set as the S2 is so much more useable than the S1 I am planning on using it as my everyday car! The reality is that I car share most of the week so would still only use it for a 12 mile commute once or twice a week and weekend use. To keep the jag just for the odd time I need to drive in seperately seems a bit excessive now!

i had em up in the SELOC classifieds for 3 weeks at least, and got mucked around by 2 potential purchasers !! ...oh well

Im afraid my garage is empty now frown ...i think I got an outdoor Specialised cover for an S2, and a few bits of brand new trim in black alcantara that I never got around to fitting...thats it...all my Elise is gone frown

gutted I missed those! Ah well, win some....

Sorry to read Sarah's post re your accident by the way mate and so pleased to see you back posting in good humour and a recovery looking positive. Shame about the car but new horizons, and with the Aston joining the Saggy last year I'm sure you'll have enough choice until you think of an elise replacementwink

thanks mate smile ...yep, Im gutted about the Elise as it was a 'one-off' and cant be replaced...I did have agreed value policy so at least recovered some of the dosh.

At least Im here and will make a full recovery eventually ...I was very lucky and now I have plenty of time recuperating at home to think about the next car smile

As you say, with the other 2, its hardly a hardship ! ...in fact our next buy for the fleet may well be a diesel estate or hatch right now as Sarah has to pay her own fuel (unlike me) and its getting a bit silly running either of the other 2 cars for 500 miles a week ...a few year old diesel would soon pay for itself ! smile

As for the Elise replacement, so many decisions to make before then and so many nice cars out there to choose from Lotus wise smile
