Hi all,
Sold my elise.

Its gone to a really nice guy Mike who will enjoy the cars as it should be... I really kept her as long as i could.
The money cleared on Tuesday, and ,ike got the keys off my wife Wednesday.
Mike, if my wife had a strange look on her face, its because she was just start off the delivery of the replacement...

... who arrived safely on Friday morning.
So Mike have fun
and everyone else, thanks for all the chat & help over the last 2 years.
Cheers,
-matt

Aww.. she's gorgeous, congratulations. I'm sure you'll get far more pleasure (and probably pain) out of your newborn. Fiona certainly seemed confident that she was on the way that evening, I'm just glad that I managed to pick up the car in time!
Talking of the car, it's absolutely fantastic. A baptism of fire navigating my way out of central London in rush hour and a 250 mile hike up the M1, but it gave me plenty of time to get settled in. The feedback is quite stunning, you can feel exactly what the car is doing and the controls are so responsive. Even my Mum was won over as soon as she saw it, previously calling it a "death trap". The only downside so far is the poor weather but even that hasn't stopped me taking it out for a spin (quite literally at one point). The soft top is back on so I'm hoping for sunshine next week and a chance for some evening drives. 100% pleased and loving every minute.
Thanks again Matt, please pass on my congratulations to Fiona.

Congrats
She looks a gem!
at 3 am you will wish you had an Elise instead
The Elise would be cheaper in the long run too.
And.... I would of thought that you would have called her Elise...
You know, a friend of mine recently named his daughter Elise. After a ride in my Lotus he almost seemed prepared to swap. She looks a gem!

Really happy that your using it, and that you made it up north safe - you'd had a long travel to get here in the first place! Long evening drives are fun... just let her warm up first, and dont lift off in the corners!
Oh BTW, Fiona wouldn't let me call her Elise, although I'm sure we'll have another child...
What I cant quite figure out is how you lasted this long. You can't of managed to get your 9 month pregnant other half in the elise! That means you had two cars so why sell the Elise?
My other half is 6 months pregnant and I have just managed to reach a car compromise going from 3 cars to 2 but keeping the Lotus

Same here, I take the elise to work and she potters about in the scooby. In an emergency she can put the baby seat in the elise and I can take the scooby to work. We've both decided that the elise is staying. My other half is 6 months pregnant and I have just managed to reach a car compromise going from 3 cars to 2 but keeping the Lotus
That reminds me, got to look for some car themed wall-paper for the nursery........
