S1 v S2 v VX220 Test

Some time ago a magazine ran a track based comparison of all S1, S2 and VX220 varianats to date. It might have been Autocar or maybe Evo.

Does anyone know what magazine it was and the particular issue/date. Cheers.

Sounds like the Top Gear one with Julian Bailey, June 2004 according to this book: Amazon clicky. Looks like there was also an S1 Elise buyers guide in the same issue.

Not a bad buy if you like reading about all the Elise/Exige variants and how they were received by the press at the time

there is one in evo that I used to refer to in all the VX220 arguements. Cant be bothered to look it up at the mo...

It was VX vs 111R.

5th Gear also did a 111R v VX turbo track test, 111R won (though not by much).

Yeah, I think there was about 0.1 secs in it...close enough to be a variation in driver input

So the driver in the 111R made some errors? Kind of him!
