The greatest, and not so great, comments.....
Discussion
Lets hear some stories of public interaction with your Lotus of choice.
Feel free to add the compliments that have made your day, the plain dumb, perhaps the not so positive and everything in-between.
This concept has in no way been stolen from the Elisetalk forum!!!!!!!

Not the greatest, but the most surprising - I was washing my car on the drive and a small child (about 8) stopped to ask if I had the Rover or Toyota engine.
LOL no way?! That must have been hilarious. Did he also talk about oil starvation and HGF?

"Is that a Smart car?" (oddly I got that one when I had a Westfield as well)
"Lotus! You know what that stands for don't you?" (Said by an AA call centre operative at 01.00 in the morning this February whilst I sat freezing my tits off, oh how I laughed)
"Hairdresser's car!" (Utttered by my Polo owning mate)
"Can you pull over, I think I'm going to be sick" (see above)
"Fark me, that's loud" (My mate had been following me down the M6 in a 996 Turbo and could hear everytime I opened the throttle, which I was quite pleased with. Even more pleased when he said that he almost had to break sweat to keep up with me when we started heading cross country)

just yesterday, a school boy of about 9 or 10 actually dropped to his knees, did the 'not worthy' thing and said 'oh... my.... god.... it's a Lotus' - I think his friends, while also impressed by the car, thought he was a bit strange.
Only 'negative' was a youngish guy in an astra who asked how much bhp I had (134 I said). 'Is that all? this (indicating his Vauxhall) has 147'... 'uh huh' says me...
5.9 secs later he's going backwards in my rear view...

What always amazes me is people's desire to have to say something.
Positive comments are great and make me smile. But why do people feel the need to say "I don't like that car". eh?!
Or one kid this morning "my dad's car's faster than that". I felt like stopping and asking what the hell his dad's got that reaches 60 in under 4 seconds, but I just couldn't be bothered
Also, some girls this morning (I drive past a secondary school to get to work)....
Girl 1; "wow I like your car"
Girl 2; "I don't like your car"
Girl 1; "I don't like your beard"
