The clutch pedal is squeeking on my S1. Has anyone had this problem? If so, what's the best way to fix it? I bombarded it with silicon based spray lube which fixed the problem but it has come back.

Cheers,

Dave

mine did this on and off. kept lubing it and it went, then it would come back. Currently its on vacation......... Only proper cure I know is to strip the pedal down and lube the joint with the correct stuff.

Try silicon spray instead of WD40. Might work a lot better....

That's what I thought. How do I get at it? Is it foam mat on the floor and in like a ferret under the steering column or is there a way in under the bonnet?

Its a bad design - silicon spray / WD40 only solves it for a short time

one of the best upgrades i did - pedal is much improved and no squeek

It's a bit (read a lot) of a pain to do - upside down in the footwell but well worth it
