Anyone know if my 02 K Series Elise is ODB-II compliant, to get it to work ?

Thanks in advance.

No, K Series isn't OBD-II compliant, although AFAIk it does work with a small subset of the features.

Do you know of any documentation off hand which details which functionality is available, and would you know if it has the right connector type (from the picture looks like a scart-type to RJ45 in the back of the unit).

Had a quick google and not come up anything ;o(

Cheers.

that thing reminds me of a glitch you could use on the Audi TT climate control to get it to display various sensor readouts (oil temp, engine speed etc) - lots of fun!

I thought 02 K Series Elise (S2) were ODB-II compliant? The plug in is in the passenger footwell.

...interesting. I do have what looks like a similar connector floating around above the passenger footwell. I guess its a question for formula 1 next time I'm in there.

The S2 K-series will give you all the basic E-OBD (the European version of OBD-2) signals but doesn't support most of the non-standard ones so many of this device's features wont work. I've got an adapter for my laptop which lets me talk to it... cost me about 10 quid from ebay. smile

S1 MEMS ECU Elises do *not* support OBD2, but S2 Elises which use the Lotus K4 (Rover) and T4 (Toyota) ECUs will support most OBD2 commands although the update rate is too low for true datalogging.
