Elise hardtop seller on Pistonheads
Discussion
On Pistonheads there is a seller that sells his own hardtops in FRP or CF. He lives in Italy and I was wondering if someone has experience with this seller and the quality of his hardtops.

Hmmm
I sold my factory hardtop last year for £500.
For £390 + shipping (they dont say how much and whether insurance is included) you're probably getting close to that so I would be inclined to wait for a genuine one to come up in the UK that you can collect and view beforehand (even if it is in a different colour and needs a respray which these seem to need anyway - so extra hidden cost).
Having said that prices on PH have risen this year so I can see the attraction
Ever the cynic, I would ask for lots more photos of the lining and connectors before buying. Also check in what packaging it is shipped as any faults might later be blamed on damage in transit. What is their returns policy?
PS. Are you sure you want/need hardtop? I sold mine as it squeaked something rotten and it wasn't as watertight as the soft top. It also doesn't have a gutter so you get a shower every time you get in/out. My money was better spent on a Larini!!
