...when someone hits you hard enough on a roundabout to leave you sideways across the entry to a dual carriageway do they think it's okay to disappear without a trace into an industrial park?

Not happy, mad

Suspect you are right on the insurance front. Unfortunately I was sideways across the entry to a dual carriageway and facing the wrong way to follow them. So no, no heroics although a good car chase always brightens my day. As it is it's, hopefully, a few hundred (maybe many hundred!) pounds worth of damage. TBH I'm rather glad I wasn't going fast and they weren't in a rangie or something that could have gone over me!

Thats not good mate. Have you checked to see if there are any cameras leading onto the estate that the Police may find useful? Industrial estates are ususally full of them.

Nasty scrape, unlucky fella, but at least you're unharmed. Hopefully the wheel/tyre took the brunt of it and there's no damage to the suspension components. Take it easy until you can give it a good check, or have someone check it over for you.

No witnesses I presume frown

Unlucky Tony. As others have said probably uninsured - although you'd be surprised the lengths some will go to to get out of their responsibilities even when insured.
There are some real idiot scumbags out there.

Fecking C*nts!

I am in a bad mood today anyway and this just boils my p!ss. My wifes RAV went into a main dealer today and the to55ers drove it into a wall, luckily the wife noticed on picking it up.

Report it to the police though, you might get lucky, maybe CCTV or something.

Hope it gets sorted.

Lots of witnesses but unfortunately none stopped rolleyes Just called the hotel overlooking the roundabout but their CCTV doesn't cover the road.

So, it's me and my VISA card left to deal with this one. Drove home very easily with a chunk of rim missing so that's a definite new wheel. In the AM I'll check it all out but its a good excuse for a proper geowink

Sorry to hear that, I really can't believe someone would just drive off after hitting someone hard enough to knock them off course!!! G1Ts!!

That is a nightmare, hopefully something will come up from the police/cctv but if not, hope the damage isnt too expensive.

Couldve been really nasty - I'm surprised that there are suggestions of speaking to fuzz though.
From experience they don't give half a toss about hit and runs apart from if someone was hurt - and that's even when they've been provided with reg number, wheel trim and part of the bumper of car that hit us.
Sorry but the police are really used for getting crime ref no's these days and nothing more.

No idea if this is appropriate, but have you thought about going back to the site of the accident about 30mins prior to when it occured and seeing if the car goes by ?
Amazing how many people assume they have nothing to worry about once they have initially got away with soemthing and rever back to thier daily routine.

Sod karma
I hope a big man with a bat gets them.

Sorry to hear the news. It could be worth patroling the estate a few times and trying to spot the car.

Good luck with the repairs.

st thats not good mate, but at least you are unharmed...these people who drive uninsured with no licence or tax etc dont care, and you can imagine the would be driving off regardless whether you are harmed or not frown

The car can be fixed - you cant, I guess without a registration theres nothing that can be done and you just have to sort it yourself .

and the scary thing is, latest statistics reckon up to 1 in 5 or 20% of cars inside the M25 have no insurance so the chances of being injured by some tt is quite high these days...but of course, the insurers do keep a pot to pay for these things, and just make it up out of our increased premiums, so its nice to know that we law abiding citizens pay for this too ..ggrrrrr....

I just had a similar thing yesterday.. someone reversed into the back of the car whilst I was parked... luckily, I got details and hopefully I will get it sorted through insurance.. If i hadn't been there, the bloke would have legged it for sure... It 'was his sisters car', so I hope I dont get a call to say he was uninsured.... did get home address and all that stuff too.....
