Taking of armourfend
Discussion
Noticed on my car earlier that there is a yellowish colouring (nothing major or blatantly obvious but now ive noticed it will bug me)on the bodywork behind the door below the venty type things. My mate reckons it is armourfend especially considering the area it is in being very susceptible to stone chips.
The whole car does seem to be in excellent condition with regards to stone checks so i do believe it does have some protection on it but never having experience of this type of stuff im not 100% certain, how can i tell?
Anyway im rambling, what can you do about armourfend or wahtever it is when it starts to go yellowish??? Can it be easily removed or do i need to have it redone??

You should be able to see the edges of the Armourfend and as above it is possible to peel it off gently with the use of a hairdryer although it has been known for the laquer finish to come off when the film is peeled away. This particularly happens when the film has been placed on the paint finish before it has totally cured. If you have no stone chips (you are doing well) and the yellowish appearance is not to bad I would recommend leaving in place. If it is getting on your nerves then peel off but for ongoing protection the newer Ventureshield seems to be the preferred replacement.
