Hello
The Caliper bolts; ( Allen key head type)which you see when you view the caliper trough the wheel on my 02 s2 Elise are starting to let my car down, they have gone very rusty along with the brake nipples.Does anyone know if you can get these items in stainless steel? or does anyone know what size they are, and the thread type? thanks.

DO NOT mess with these!

and NEVER use Stainless bolts on the brakes *anywhere*

if you must do something, have the calipers proffessionally refurbed...

Well maybe they're ok to hold the dust-shields on wink

But yes. Does anyone happen to know the actual grade they use for these main allen head bolts for the calipers?

Yes, Stainless doesn't have the same tensile strength as non-stainless. You certainly don't want your caliper bolts shearing...

If anything get proper some new ones and get the heads painted.

I'd imagine 8.8 or something similar. If you use 10.8 or above you will be fine. Personally, I'd just put a small blob of high temp grease in the allen head hole, then put the allen key in to dislodge the majority and leave the thing coating in place.
