have that annoying vibrating sound at around 1200 rpm. Sounds like a metal plate is vibrating against something. Haven't investigated further but any standard checks I should do?

Could be the exhaust. You can get an anti-tizz bracket....

The revs seem a bit low for it to be exhaust 'tizz' (which usually sets in around 2,500-ish rpm).

I's second the suggestion to check the undertray is secure, but also check visually for signs that the exhaust hasn't been touching the undertray where it projects slightly through the cut-outs. If necessary, enlarge the cut-outs a bit with a file.

There's always the possibility it's a loose baffle in the silencer, too. See if you can repeat the problem by getting someone to rev the car while it's up on ramps, with the undertray off, to see if you can track down the source of the noise.

Isn't there a cable (throttle or gear linkage?) that can buzz against the car floor?

Thanks, will see if I can crawl underneath it but GF is away and no ramps in sight (West London)

While mine was new, the heat shield around the exhaust was touching it and cause the noise. The dealer just bend it a little more(3 hours drive for that) but at least it was minor
