Gents,
I have been thru the mill with my pride and joy over the past two months. (she doesnt read ph's!)
i have been victim of an Exige S that wont start. I will spare you the usual garage BS that went with getting it fixed, but lets say i have the car advertised here for sale! i even went to the porsche garage and priced a Gayman! i was in the depts of despair with it. a six month old car that wasnt working.

So this morning i got up, got the train to the garage and picked the car up. it was similar to picking the car up for the first time. there she was, shining ready to go. thru dublins streets in the autum sun shine, pops n bangs a plenty, picking up the usual comments from pedestrians along with admiring glances from other drivers. out on to the motorway for the 100 miles or so home.
motorway? indicate, lft hand down, off to the hills of south armagh on some of the finest hooning roads i know. yelping from apex to apex, sliding into corners, suspension loading up as the power goes down on to the straights. Thru the small towns that scatter that part of the world, towns stopping to watch as the car slides by.

Cayman? yeah, i would have made it in a cayman. but i wouldnt have driven it. i would have stayed on the motorway. i would have not picked up any comments from passers by. I think today i realised that owning one of these machines is an emotional experience, both highs and lows. i get angry when the car isnt working, i am like a 6 year old at christmas when it is. i love my lotus like nothing else i have owned. i will drive it, hard, till i have no money in my wallet, or 18 points on my licence.

what a car, what a day. i am a pistonhead.

lol, i came out of a garage after filling her up, some older man was looking thru the window. he looked round at me coming over, 'bd' he said, and walk across the fore court. then turns round ans says 'in a good way of course, fecking family saloon!' as he climbs into a senic!!!

didnt have the heart to tell him that a senic isnt a saloon.
