Yes, I went and bought an s1 111s today! I haven't go it yet, I get it next sunday as I need to sort out the building society cheque but I cannot wait. There's only one thing wrong with the car that I can see and that's the old squeaky clutch pedal but am I right in thinking that can be fixed rather easily?

If anyone has any info for a newbie then it would be much appreciated! biggrin

Congrats! There's loads of stuff on here for newbies, check out the buyers guide for hints and tips if you haven't done so already. I'm sure there'll be many more words of wisdom from others but the one thing I learnt (very quickly) was to take it easy in the wet and to watch out for the road conditions, especially at this time of year with the leaves etc. Above all though - enjoy!

You will need this: http://www.eliseparts.com/shop/index.php?main_page... .

I've got mine to do; by all accounts it is a pain in the arse - it's not technically challenging but getting in the footwell is a ball-ache. Instructions here: http://www.lotus-elise.nl/Mods/Stainless_Steel/Clu...

Enjoy the Elise - you won't regret it!

Top tip - buy a crap car as well! This makes the Elise feel so much more special when you drive it!

I picked up the beast today.

Jesus christ on bike in a rave. This car is absolutley mental. With it being new to me I was driving it very conservativley and even still it's friggin crazy! I love it already...bring on the summer!!
