I am looking to do a full brake fluid replacement on my Exige S2, and am in a little bit of a conundrum as to which fluid to use. I am going to be tracking the car, and am hard on the brakes whilst on track, often experiencing fade, however I really cannot justofy the 40quid a litre or so for SRF, especially as I will prob need more than a litre to fully flush the system!
Was tempted for AP600, but a couple of litres of that soon adds up.
Anyone got any good recommendations from personal experince? I find going into the Foggy Esses at Donny and finding you have no brakes somewhat disconcerting!
TIA
Jonny

To be honest, I've always been of the opinion that cheap DOT5.1 brake fluid replaced regulalry is far better than the best fluid money can buy, replaced once every 2 years...
Remember that brake fade (higher pedal pressures being required to achieve the same stopping effort) is nothing to do with the brake fluid - it's down to the pads/discs overheating.
If the fluid is overheating, the brake pedal becomes mushy (if you're lucky) or goes straight to the floor (if you're unlucky).
My advice would be to buy the cheap stuff and bleed fresh fluid though before or after every track day, if you feel that it's deteriorating.

Yup, what he said ^^.
Loads of race cars run on the pikey comma dot 4 or 5.1 brake fluid you get cheaply from your local motor factor. No point in having SRF if you leave it in for a couple of years. All the elise compatible brake fluids are hydroscopic and attract moisture over time.
