changing steering wheel on Exige 08 model

Just wondered if anyone had changed airbag steering wheel for standard one. I have heard there is a resister?? Which can be plugged in to switch off airbag light?? Anybody know.

I don't know about the standard wheel fitment but the resistor thing is almost certainly right, same deal with cars that have brake light teltales and owners change the brake light for LED's.

Had my original airbag wheel replaced with a clip-on by PlansMotorsport in Surrey, they did a great job although they couldnt turn off the dash light, so if you do find out how to do it give us a shout!

There is no (and will not be) an official Lotus workaround for this. To do it properly you need to use a resistor to tell the car not to set off the air bag andswitch the warning light off.
