Hand Break light

Morning folks,

When I put my hand break on in my s1 elise, the light on the stack doesn't come on. If I bash the hand break to the side, the light iluminates. Anyone got any ideas how I can fix this so it just comes on? I guess it's just a dodgy connection, is it easy to take the hand break leaver off to find the connection?

if its like the S2 there is a roller microswitch in a beige colour on the passenger side of the lever.It could be gunked up with muck and hair etc or is faulty.If it is faulty, Maplins should something.

Yup there is a little switch under the hand break really easy to get to on the S1. Just give that a clean up.
