Hi All,
I am looking at the possibility of an S2 Elise as my next car, but am a keen cyclist so it is essential that I can take my road bike or mountain bike on or in the car!

Is it possible!?

Cheers

Chris

Some people have rigged up various sillinesses to get bikes on/in the car. Personally I'd get a £2k snotter diesel and save a LOT of hassle.

Hi there,
Thanks for the reply. My wife has a CRV but as we have 2 kids, I can't use that at the weekend and leave her car-less, and we don't have room on the drive for a third car, so that option is out sadly!

Arse - looks like the Exige might have to be scratched from the list! frown

Umm, i was trying to think of ways of getting a kyack on the roof of the S1....possibly the blow up roof-racks on the hardtop...can't really see it happening.

Rather you than me mate. The clam damage that 'might' ensue from that going adrift doesn't bear thinking about.

Chris dear boy, do what I do.

Saddle the bike onto your mates load lugger then give them about 30 minutes on you.

Usually by the time he gets to Wales I'm sitting in the cafe fully kitted up and having a coffee!

works a treat.

Not mine I hasten to add! One of the reasons I bought a cheap runabout. That bike probably costs more than my Puma now I think about it...

there is a bike rack for the elise, you have to drill the bodywork to fix it though which put me off

Seriously, consider an S1 elise with a boot rack. The S1 clams are much thicker, and do a better job of supporting weight. If you want top performance, you can always get a honda conversion and nitrons...

There is a fiesta roof rack that fits the S1 hardtop.
